Rebekah simply shrugged and nodded. "Hey, no making jokes about girls who can't navigate." Maybe it would be enough to deflect him, hopefully. Because she just was not ready to face the questions if he knew. And besides, he needed the focus, not her. She needed to be supporting him.
"I thought you were somewhat poetic actually. Good details, nice imagery." But he was right, that was going to be the problem people had. Because they were able and capable to go through with any threats. And as much as people might bluster, the fact was, there was nothing they could do to stop the Original family, if they went on a rampage. It wasn't worry for her own safety that kept Rebekah in check, it was worry for Stefan, for Lois, for Kenzi, those friends who could be hurt if there was a war between them all in Lawrence.
She listened as he spoke about his line, about Elizabeth and the others. "Did I ever meet that one?" There was a rueful smile on her face. "We both turned our fair share, more than Finn did. Possibly more than the others, actually. Elijah was all noble about it and Nik turned on a whim but then killed them often as well so who knows if they went on to turn anyone else." She watched the way he lit up the cigarette, one eyebrow arched pointedly, knowing as she did that he only smoked when he was stressed. "Tens of thousands. All dead in an instant. God, Kol, most of them had probably never even heard of Mystic Falls, Originals, the cure, doppelgangers, all of it. They just died and never knew why."
