There was no chance on her life that Kol didn't notice the slower pace that Rebekah was moving at. She was sluggish and he wasn't sure why, but the fact that she was made him curious. He was debating speaking up to her about it, but then she gave a shrug and a quick little quip about what had taken her so long and he wasn't sure if he should press it. "Wrong turn." he repeated with a long glance sideways at her. The suspicion was rather apparent on his face, but he opted not to press any further for the moment.
"They just find more issue with it this time because of how specific I was with it." he shrugged, leaning next to her against the wall. He was pretty sure that was what most of the issue was, anyway. Because plenty of people had threatened in similar fashions before, but he' been so explicit.
"Yeah," he sighed, running a hand through his hair. It was ridiculous, but it was true. The others, they were safe. None of them would even truly consider killing their older brothers, if for no other reason than the descendants attached to their line. "But that's just the thing, innit? They're safe. Nik, Elijah... for the same reason the Gilbert's killed me. My line... God, Bekah, I can't even tell you how many were in it. And there were only a few I ever really took in, but they were every bit reckless as I always was, an I know it." It was funny, usually he didn't think of them, all his descendants, all the vampires he'd sired through the centuries, but considering everything right now, it was hard not to think back on them. "There's a few of them I remember... Kind've miss them. There was this one bird, Elizabeth... I can't remember where I'd found her, but she was a fucking fireball." he mused, a small smirk tugging at the corner of his mouth. "But no one knew them. So they didn't matter." a slight frown creased across his forehead and he fumbled in his pocket for a moment before producing a pack of cigarettes and lighting one.
