"Just run it," he said with a shrug of his own. He didn't particularly feel like driving, especially considering it wasn't even probably but forty or so miles.
"Does too," he said, bumping his shoulder against hers. It wasn't the usual playful manner he'd have done it in, though. "You're not though. You're not. You're allowed to be wary and suspicious and hate her." And he fully believed that fact. Nothing anyone said or did could change his mind on that.
He let out a little scoff at that, "Yeah, well, even Nik was apparently miffed at my reactions. Calling me an idiot, telling me to bide my time, play the long game and be quiet about it."
