With Rebekah rabitting on about how little he knew of woman and Caroline going from what had honestly appeared to be a strop into a full on breakdown Klaus was not having a good week. Honestly he'd been enjoying the werewolf hunt. They never quite expected a hybrid and they were fast when they decided to run. Of course he was faster and both he and Damon understood the thrill of the chase.
But then she'd finally spoken to him, his beautiful Caroline, and he'd realised just how damaged she'd let herself become. This wasn't just because of the last few months. This was deeper. This is what happened when she stopped. And so he'd gotten the locator, a few arguments with Crowley and annoyingly no way to really prove she wanted to be found lead him to Anastasia. Who he'd paid enough to ask no questions. She tracked Caroline with a stray hair from her hairbrush and in a cloud of red smoke they arrived at a hotel. He'd asked Ana to wait and the woman had sighed and said she'd be back in an hour or so to return them to Lawrence. If Caroline wasn't ready though, they could fly.
He knocked at the door of the room, finding her curled up in her bed as he had that first night he'd told her about the wonder and culture she would get to know if she let him help her live. What had now happened to all of that. Why was she so broken.
"I told you I'd find you." he said simply, not entirely sure how to proceed but knowing he had to tread carefully. He'd only left her for a day or so and already she was like this?
"Want to tell me what's lead to this?" he asked, moving to sit near her.
