The boy sometimes had a very simple view of the world. It was one that Klaus had shared a long time ago, before life, before Mikael and Esther took all that away from him. Henrik's death hadn't changed Klaus's lot in life, Mikael had beaten him before and would do so many times since. As Henrik mentioned the death however Klaus reacted, not in a way that most would notice but it was in his eyes. Just a slight moment but it was there. And gone again as quickly. Of course there was still guilt. He felt likely there would always be.
"It is good that you're here and not them. And as you say, sometimes change is good. I was never overly fond of the concept. I'd lost you, I wanted the rest of our siblings to stay the same. I spent so long trying to make it happen but in the end they all left bar one. Bar Rebekah."
The comment about Katherine amused him. "Katerina reminds me of Tatia in more ways than just her looks, there's another with that face, no different to the others who share it. They despise each other which is funny since they're so alike."
If their parents came....
It was a simple mention of them, a question from a younger brother.
"I don't know what we'd do Henrik, with them here. I'd have to find a way to send them back. You know that, don't you? I might have to do some things you wouldn't like. But it would be for the best."
