It was a lot for Henrik to wrap his head around and it was a hard conflict going on in his head over wanting Rebekah with him always and also wanting her to look as happy as she did today. He didn’t think he could really have both, not when she was going to live in another house. “I don’t like this time,” he muttered, poking at the dirt with a stick he’d picked up. “Everything is confusing and different...I like the bathroom though.” Hot water was a nice accommodation that he didn’t want to give up. Not that going back to his time would have a good outcome for him. He knew he’d be dead.
He looked over at his brother and shrugged. “I’m trying my hardest to be happy for her and mostly I am. But all of these people are here and wanting to talk to me got to be too much.” At least he understood what they were all saying now and was able to talk back to them. It had definitely been even more overwhelming when he’d only been able to understand his siblings.
“It’s never going to be like it was, is it?” Which was good and bad. At least it meant Mikael wasn’t around to hurt them any longer. That was definitely a good thing.
