WHO: Claire Bennet and James Sirius Potter WHEN: August 28, Friday. All afternoon. WHERE: WHAT: First date. One of Many or so James hopes. Ratings: TBD, likely PG-13 ... James has a mouth on him. He. He. He. STATUS: Closed/Incomplete
James had never been the biggest fan of musicals. Other than the odd by chance watching of Sound of Music and by some higher power's meddling arriving just when the Captain was singing Edelweiss, he tended to avoid them. He didn't hate them. They just weren't exactly his cuppa. Maybe he could have given them more of a chance but he'd always been more interested in other things to pay attention to them whenever they'd play on great-aunt Petuna's little T.V. James wasn't a fan of musicals-and he did not count movies where Elvis sang as musical ... they were masterpieces apart and above from categories-however, but he'd always seemed to have Bye Bye Birdie's Put On A Happy Face in his head. It was one of those songs that make a recurring visit into one's thoughts and had simply became an unknowing favorite. Completely unconscious but always constant. Typically when he was in a highly good mood.
He was in a highly good mood at the moment.
Gray skies are going to clear up! Put on a happy face, the words were said in his mind as he whistled them down the hall, before walking to Claire's door. Knocking, ready for their first date. Yes, first. First of many. Was James cocky? Yes, he was. However, he was also determined that things would go well.
Claire had captured his fascination which tended to be harder than some would think. However, the fact that he wanted more than a quick snog, meant something even more. Claire wasn't that type of girl and he wanted to make the effort, take the time to know her on a level beyond physical.
