When he heard her stop in the doorway, Scott looked up and despite how much he wanted to run over to her, to hug her and hold her and find a way to know beyond any ounce of doubt that this was real, he was frozen to the spot, probably looking a lot like a deer caught in headlights.
But then she was clamoring onto the bed next to him, bringing him into a hug that he immediately, and quite desperately returned. "Allison," he breathed softly as he clung to her, desperate to prove to himself this wasn't just a dream.
"Yeah," He nodded as she pulled away, questioning if he was really here. "Yeah, it's really me. I'm really here. And you're here and you're safe and ali-" his voice broke mid-word and he couldn't stop from pulling her into another tight hug, burying his face in the crook of her neck.
