"Well, I'm sort of walking blasphamy anyway, in, like, every way possible. What I am, how I've lived, I'm basically sin personified, Anna." He pointed out, an amused lilt in his voice. "And he was right, Dean was right, you can be what you are and have what you want. You don't just have to be Heaven's drone. And I'm glad you're not, honestly. You have your own mind, you realize where they aren't always right because no one is, no one is ever always right, all the time. Not even Nik, not that he sees that. That's his problem, I think, one of the bigger ones anyway. He just doesn't see it when he's wrong." he shook his head. Kol loved him, but sometimes his brother was the biggest git in the bloody world. "Heaven sounds like a bunch of assholes." he said with a bit of a sneer.
Kol, who had been still half-laying across the couch, only with his legs pulled up so Anna could sit with him, pushed himself up into a sitting position, a bit closer to Anna than he'd expected, but oh well. "You know, I never even had anyone I'd bed more than twice at a time. And then Crowley happened and I still don't even really understand how that happened, but I wouldn't change it. Not for anything. He makes me happy, which is really weird for me, but I like it. He's twisted, but he's not the outright evil Hell drone either. That's why I think you two clicked. Both from these ridiculous factions who think their always right, but you veered off from the path a bit. And then you found each other and it worked because you're more than the others, both of you, you're better than the others on your side because you think for yourselves." Kol was talking at a rapid pace, but it slowed considerably during his next piece.
"Maybe you shouldn't be, but...doesn't matter." he shook his head, "you aren't your role, Anna, you're you and that's better than anything Heaven could set for you, okay? And I tried. I tried really hard to hate you. I mean, you're the ex. And he still has feelings for you. Big ones, you know, not just for nostalgia's sake or something. So, you know, I'm supposed to hate you, but you make it impossible, you know?" And absently, he took her hand, finger tracing random patterns on her palm. "Instead, I just see the reasons he fell for you."
