"I love you, I mean, you're like...my big brother or my dad, Marcel. You have no idea how hard it was to write you off like that. You hurt me and that's not okay and if you try to use me, in any way, whether it's compelling me or using me for my magic, anything at all...I will walk away and I won't have any regrets. But I want to give you the chance first." She punctuated that statement with a nod.
Davina felt completely in the right for how she felt, that was never to be dounted. But she wanted to be an adult in this situation and running and hiding and being angry was certainly not the way to achieve that goal. So, she decided to put it all side, to give Marcel one, single chance to prove himself here. If he blew it, though. That was it. She wouldn't keep being disappointed.
