It was always good to see that bright smile. He'd come to miss it in the months that he had been around in this unusual version of Kansas. Lorne had dealt with weirder. You didn't hang out with Angel's crew and at least rub elbows with 'weirder' but this world was still a highly unusual world. It was a bit of a comfort that some things remained the same. But not by much. The people were friendly and he was coming to like them, but it was great to have Fred around. To have a little piece of home, that he was truly familiar with, around. A good piece at that.
He was relieved to see that she was up. "I hope I'm not interrupting." He said. However, he smiled when she opened the door. Looking around he could immediately see touches of Fred, which was how it should it be. Winifred Burkle was too vibrant for the staid white walls that the apartments came with. Besides, Lorne was a firm believer in making something your own. And what better place than the apartment you had to live in for, who knew how long? "Nice to see that you're sprucing up the place. I'm digging the touches of Fred." He said, giving her a wider smile, when turned to look at her.
