"Why?" He immediately called back. He might have thought she sounded a lot like Lady Katherine, but that wasn't actually possible. So whoever she was, that was just a coincidence. And he could believe that. But that didn't mean he was ready to trust the mystery woman. Still, Robins curiosity hadn't begun later in life. And it was getting the better of him in this instance too.
Deciding there was little she could do from where she was (he'd already seen that she didn't have a bow), he shifted on his knees to the open space above the ladder, sitting with his legs hanging over the edge.
"I think I might be faster, but I don't know how clever you are yet. And you don't know just how clever I am." Not feeling overly threatened, now that he was watching her, he was more than happy to talk. "What is your name?" He frowned slightly in confusion, studying her face. "You look just like Lady Katherine. But your hair is darker. And she is not with child. I know because I saw her just the other day."
