Who: Damon Salvatore (OTA or finished as narrative)
What: Arriving in Lawrence
When: Friday Afternoon
Where: Cemetary
Warnings: Violence and blood, and probably drinking.

So, Elena thought he was a monster.  That he couldn’t change.  She couldn’t be everything he lived for.  Well, what did he live for before Elena?  Katherine.  The cold hearted vampire bitch, who’d seduced him and his brother, turned them and then ran away.  While he still thought she was trapped in a church waiting for him to save her.  Two girls who looked exactly alike broke his heart, within a few years of each other.  It made him so angry.  He’d tried to change for her, be a better man.  Be more like Stefan, because she deserved better than the broken, angry and sadistic vampire she’d fallen in love with.  And he was right, so he’d broken up with her, for her good.  Until Saint Stefan convinced him it was the worst decision he’d ever made.  He shouldn’t have listened to his little brother.  Not this time.

So, here he was, waiting by the side of the road where he knew Aaron Whitmore would be turning up soon.  Turning to old tricks and habits.  Killing made him feel better.  And Elena made it perfectly clear how she felt, that she never wanted him back.  So, killing her friend was a good way to hurt her, and console himself.

His attention is drawn when the car stops where Enzo is lying in the road.

“Are you alright?  Are you alright man?”

The vampire sits up and looks at the driver of the car, Aaron.

“Never better.  We’ve been waiting for you.”

Using his vampire speed, the Eldest Salvatore brother, closes the car door and leans against it.

“Damon’s been teaching me a little game.  See he assured me you’d be on this road heading out of town.”

Aaron turned to Damon.  “But, you said you were going to let me go?”

“I did” Damon grins, “I tried.”

“Does Elena know you’re here?”

“She’s the reason I’m here.  No, scratch that.  I’m the reason I’m here.”

She wasn’t going to get the credit for this one.  He was his own man again.  Could do what he wanted, when he wanted.  He was free of the chains that were Elena Gilbert.

“What do you want, Damon?”

Oh, now wasn’t that a question.  Right now he wanted to torment him, get back at Elena.  But, most importantly, he wanted to be clear about his motives.  He was no longer conflicted.  He knew exactly what he wanted to do.

“See, Elena thinks I’m a monster.  And you know what?  She’s right.”

The vampire launched himself at his victim’s throat and drained him dry.  Violently, and without mercy.

“Now, that’s the Damon Salvatore I remember.”

As he felt the life drain from Aaron's body, Damon lifted his head to grin at his friend.  Only, Enzo wasn't in front of him.  Instead it was suddenly the middle of the afternoon, and he was surrounded by strangers.  He looked down to where the boy's body should have been at his feet.  It was gone.  This was bad, very bad.  No Enzo, no body, and he was in a cemetary, and definitely not the one in Mystic Falls.

Screw this, he thought.  I need a drink.  He sped off out of the cemetary at vampire speed.  Seemingly careless of whether the people near him would notice.  But, they'd all seemed preoccupied with something else.

The first bar he found was called Bed of Roses.  Really, Bed of Roses?  Someone named a bar after a Bon Jovi song.  Lexi would have loved that, probably would have dragged Stefan there during one of her Mother Teresa kicks.  He shook his head and moved on.  He didn't like thinking of Lexi, she was irritating, but he still sort of regretted that he'd had to kill her.  Mostly because it upset Stefan.  But still, reminders were annoying.

He looked up at the sign of the next bar he found and smiled.  Purgatory, now that seemed to fit his mood.

Ginger had been on a pretty descent track in life lately. She and Peter were back on terms rather similar to when they'd lived in Vegas, and she wasn't fearing him now the way she had been months ago because of the attack from the vampire version of him last summer. That was good. Better than good, it was great. She had helped him with the decorating of the house once they'd moved in, it was a thing she sort of liked to do when she was bored. She could have probably made a career out of it, but she had a job and she was happy with it.

Managing the club her friend had left behind kept her busy, kept her on a descent schedule and she didn't have to worry quite so much about the insanity that was going on with Sam and the drama with the crazy family of vampires that seemed to pitch a fit at the drop of a hat. She just hoped like hell they didn't actually come to blows with Ruby. She didn't know the former Hell-alligned demon basically at all, but she didn't want to see what she was fully capable of. And she definitely didn't want to see what would happen when someone of her power came up against the unkillable vampires running rampant around Lawrence. It would be a war in itself and it would be so bad. Definitely something she wanted no part of.

She had finished up her managerial duties in the office for the day and for now, she was circling the three floors of her club. The lounge area on the third floor was never all that busy, it was the first and second floors that always kept things packed. At night, the danceclub section on the first floor was always the busiest.

She noiced the guy that had just walked in and, since her main bartender had just slipped out for a break, she smiled and greeted him. "What can I get ya, doll?" she asked before he came closer to the bar and she realized she recognized this particular custmer. "Damon?" her eyebrows shot up. "When did you get back in town?"

That is, if he even remember being here. And if he didn't, he wouldn't remember her, or how he had helped her with the curse from Maleficent before. And, well, if he didn't remember that, she wasn't sure if she could handle being around the guy. He was a vampire, and had, from what she understood, a pretty rocky history of going off the rails and Ginger had mostly terrible experiences with vampires as it were. None of her apprehension about the meeting were shown on the outside though, ever the great actress and even better businesswoman, Ginger could keep her emotions hidden easily when she needed to.

He grinned at the girl behind the bar. She was pretty. He could like this place. "Bottle of Bourbon and glass." He drawled. He needed a drink, badly. And someone nice to look at wouldn't go amiss either. He wasn't hungry though. Aaron had quenched that particular thirst for an hour or two. He'd get a snack once he'd gotten a better lay of the land.

He raised his eyebrow as she recognised him. "You know me?" That probably wasn't a good thing. He had no idea who the girl was. Hell, he had no idea where this place was. So, something must have tampered with his memory.

"Big spender," she commented with a small smirk as she grabbed the bourbon and a glass, setting it down in front of him. Not that he would actually have to pay. Displaced drank for free and he was definitely displaced. "Don't worry, though. It's on the house." she assured him.

Well, that answered that. He clearly didn't remember Lawrence. Awesome. Now she was stuck in a situation she would really rather get out of. "Uhm, yeah. Not super well or anything, but you kind of helped me once." she nodded. "I'm Ginger," she introduced herself with a smile. "I'm gonna guess you showed up in the graveyard, right? Just minding your own business back home and then boom, all the sudden, there you were...right?"
