Caroline heard his words to the girl and knew he meant it. If she hadn't been there, if she hadn't wanted him not to kill when they did drink from humans, the girl would be dead. There was a time that might have made her angry, annoyed he didn't not kill for himself, but she had long figured out that he didn't see humans the way she did. To Klaus they truly were just food, a means to an end. She didn't really like that mindset but it was one he had been cultivating for nearly 1000 years and she had meant it when she had told him she didn't want to change him all those weeks back.
She watched him feed for a few seconds before joining in, though her bloodlust was waning, good old regular lust wanting to be fulfilled instead. Caroline pulled back, not even bothering to listen for a heartbeat, licking her lips as she watched Klaus drink.
"I'm all good now. Unless you really want more. I'd rather be enjoying some dark corner in here with just you."
