Crowley had figured that Castiel was a moron, quite frankly. It did make him miss Anna all the more, now that was an angel able to think outside the box, to be open to new ideas. Castiel was still stuck in the old ways, and it was frustrating.
Of course Kol was confused. It wasn't every day a man was offered his lover's bones. And Crowley did so enjoy getting to throw people off from the expected, but even aside from that, it was important. "Because things are complicated." He half smirked before shrugging. "I can't predict what Winchester's going to do, either now or after he gets his soul back. I don't know if the angel is going to go crazy. I've got enemies wanting the throne. My bones, those are the biggest physical weakness I have. I need someone I trust to protect them. That would be you." It was hard to admit, that he trusted anyone. He almost trusted Ruby, but also knew that if it came down to a choice between him and her husband, the Moose would win. So he needed the bones moved. Protected. And Kol was the only one he trusted with it. "So no letting your brother use those as a chew toy, okay? If he wants to indulge his canine side, we can get him bones from the butchers."
