Tauriel was not who he expected to find in that graveyard, and seeing her in such a place sank his heart. He was not certain this land was not a land of dead. The very last thing he wanted for her was that fate. If he were to have it then he would rather suffer eternal afterlife alone. But he ket quiet for some time as they walked through the snow, unsure how to react to her presence or the new world around them. He knew it was not theirs because of the sounds of the trees. They were so muffled and nearly silent that it could not have been Middle Earth. Everything had a life force there. There was rarely such silence or cause for worry as there was now. What had happened to Middle Earth? What had become of the friends he fought beside?
How could it all just be gone?
The bow on his backside was indeed Lothlorien. Every bit of it's home land could be seen in its markings. Lothlorien bows were legendary even among elves. Legolas could still not believe he'd been gifted such a thing or how easily it bent to his will. He had a natural talent for bow and the Lothlorien bow only brought it further to the surface.
Had they been alone, perhaps surprise would have played on his otherwise calm features. But currently Legolas was almost stunned to silence. For him of course, it was not abnormal. Only her familiar voice broke it and his internal monologue. "Laketown? That was ages ago Tauriel.." Blue eyes full of confusion and equal concern for her watched her carefully. Had she been injured or her mind tricked? "I've come from Helm's Deep. Tell me. What is the last thing you remember?" There was no need for common English anymore. Legolas spoke in a soft and even tone as he stepped out of the way of several civilians who gave them wide eyed stares. Fortunately for them there were not many out due to the sudden blizzard. Most were scrambling to get to their homes.
