Sam/Ruby
No. She was wrong. Sam had been alone. With the exception of his tormenter, Sam had always been isolated from everything and anything that mattered. To hear that there were other people who had fallen into the Cage behind him was unexpected. Surely Lucifer didn't have the time to hunt them down when every waking moment had been dedicated to making Sam regret that he had foiled his plans to end the world? Sam watched them all. They looked weary. Uncertain. They didn't know if this was real either. If Lucifer had taken his games to a different level, then it seemed unlikely that he would make them question the reality of everything. They would be happy. Grateful. Not this.

Emily. His daughter. Part of the reason why he had dove into that hole in the ground in the first place. And Bobby. He was family. A father figure, really. It was supposed to make him feel good, knowing that they were safe. Sam instead found himself understanding that their survival was a good thing. It benefited him and it definitely benefited them.

Yeah. It was a good thing.

"And Dean?" His brother. He had fallen into the Cage, too, with Michael. "What about him? Did you get him out?"

It would make sense if they had. Yet with all the people running around, Sam couldn't see his brother anywhere. Not from where they were standing. He wondered if he had managed to maintain his sanity. If his experience with Michael had been anything like his with Lucifer, Sam wouldn't be surprised if he had gone completely insane.
