Rebekah/Klaus
Oh now that was more of a typical Niklaus. Being dramatic, being self centered, making it all about him, as per usual. Rebekah actually rolled her eyes at the entire thing. Wasn't that just always the way with him, finding out how something was his giant trauma to mope about. "What makes you sure I want to talk to them either? But of course, everything is a giant conspiracy against you, as usual. Always is, isn't it."
It was getting old. This repeated drama, this endless cycle.
"Why, what? Why you'd hurt me, well, it's kind of your thing, isn't it. Precedent for it and everything." Because at the end of this day, every time, it was him who did it. Him that killed her, while the others stood around and watched, and laughed. She could remember every single day of it vividly, though the crushing pain she had once felt by it all no longer meant anything to her.
And she didn't want it to. Couldn't afford to let it.
And he would know, damn him and his infuriating ways, the way he knew her. He would see the worst in her, the worst of her, and Kol, Kol wherever he was, he would see she was not the best of herself. Elijah, now, he would fuss and worry and try to protect her, but would be more likely to buy her excuses, it was the other two she needed to avoid. Because if they knew, if they ever worked it out, she would be done for. They would do to her what they did to Kol, force her emotions back on, force her to deal with this.
