Something's different, there's a stranger's voice, and he doesn't know what it is but it's different from the rest somehow. But he's choking on the blood in his mouth, trying desperately not to swallow, and that takes all his focus. Tears streak his face, cutting trails in the red around his mouth, and he knows his eyes are blackened, the demon showing through. Then there's a girl kneeling over him, concern lining her face, and he flinches back. He's not afraid of her, exactly, but he's blinded by terror and dread and Castiel's hand tightening around his throat. He realizes it was her voice he'd heard. He wants to warn her away; there's vampires all around them both, Jerry only feet away, not to mention the teeth filling his own mouth. They'll kill her if they can; they destroy everything in their path.
