Isabel had been trying to figure out who Castiel’s friend was for over a week. He had come to her seeking help for the individual and that had caught Isabel’s attention. Even back home no one came to her for help for dreams, special cases aside. Here it seemed that her dreamwalking abilities were in dire need. Isabel didn’t have an image in mind for Castiel’s friend, but he was definitely on her mind as she drifted off.
Immediately Isabel knows that the dream is strange. This house is unfamiliar to her and there’s an unsettling feeling that grips her as she takes a few steps inside. She feels almost drawn to the basement for some unknown reason and she follows her gut feeling. There’s an inhuman snarl and she wonders if there are animals waiting in the basement to attack her, but she reminds herself that she can leave any time she wants to.
Against her better judgement, Isabel follows the snarl she heard earlier. “Hello?” She calls out, but her voice is thin and insubstantial. “Hello??” She raises her voice, but it’s still not as loud as it would sound in the waking world.
It feels like it’s taking forever to walk towards the sound, like the distance between her and the source is literally stretching into a longer distance. Finally, though, she sees him. It’s someone she recognizes from the comms, though she’s not sure of his name. He looks distressed, to say the least, and Isabel hurries over to him, ignoring the others in the dream.
“You’re okay.” She stoops down, not thinking herself in danger.
