She had everything to do with it. Silly shop girl had wormed her way into his hearts. Made his life worth living again. Before he'd met her he had been very alone. Very angry about it. She'd brought a light to his life and his eyes that wasn't there before. A light he thought had long since died out after the Time War. After he'd killed every last being on his home world. He didn't really think he deserved anything less, but she showed him differently. She told him without words that it was all right to live again. That the world could be full of color he hadn't seen before.
This place was no different. Even in a world with a stationary TARDIS, seeing Rose still made him smile no matter the circumstance. She was his best friend, and every minute with her he felt more alive than he had in years. "Hello." He said in that signature almost sing songy playful tone. He approached her without hesitation. Since he'd arrived it'd been nothing but information, he figured now was another one of those times so he was rather serious despite that smile.
"Usually that's my line." He said with a small laugh though it was rather docile compare to previous times. He took her hand. "Just this once." He teased her lightly and let her lead him where she needed. Dark eyes watching her carefully, unsure what he was going to see. Whenever he said that it meant adventure, it meant danger, but with Rose he could tell it was different. The look on her face was just so different, hell and so was she entirely. She was so much older than when he left her only a while ago. He supposed he really couldn't talk about age though, but it was just all so..different.
"Always did like the idea of you taking me somewhere." He smiled again but it didn't reach his eyes this time. There was a hint of concern in his face.
