Now, if only the rest of the night could go like this. Easy, simple, completely not complicated at all. Not thinking about all the reasons he shouldn't still be here. Not paying mind to the images, still freshly in his mind that took everything in him not to squirm at because there was still a dull feeling of that knife against hus chest he was trying so damn hard to ignore. Kol would take this, the ease and the simplicity, over whatever spasm that had been the last several minutes, with the nerves and the slips of his tongue and the bloody rambles.
