"Yeah," she nodded, a nearly cheeky sort of grin on her face, "I reckon I'd be okay with that." And she would be. There was just something about him. She didn't mind being around him. She felt safe with him. And that was more than she'd felt around much of anyone of late.
She didn't know what to make of this man. So quick to take her under his wing when he didn't even know her, where her own maker had abandoned her so quickly. That made the trust she was already gaining in him even easier. He had no reason to be there for her the way he was, but he was there anyway. And that was all she'd really needed, wasn't it? Someone to care.
