It was such a shame really, she had lived and died and it hadn't mattered. And oh there was collateral damage in life, sure but there was such potential in this girl. Such a need for acceptance and for more than she was. All she needed was the right incentive. The right push. All she needed was to be allowed to grow. And Hal could give her that. She was so content with him, the little giggle, the confiding in him. And then she told him. She wanted the world.
"And then you shall have it. We are better Lauren and it is ours for the taking. The sooner the others realise it, as you have, the happier they'll be." He took her hand, kissing it with overt politness before pointing to the woman of his choosing.
"I'll be over there. You find one. If you need me, come join me. Sound fair."
