She took her time, she danced, she waited and Hal watched, focused on nothing else until Lauren bit in to the woman without a seconds hesitation. Oh it had all been so simple. A few triggers, a few history lessons and Lauren had been his. He'd need someone like her on side of course. It was vital, when he finally did leave here that he had what he wanted. And she could be the start of that. She could turn people, she could aid him in so many ways.
He moved up closer to her and the woman, biting into the other side of her throat drinking deeply, listening to her heart. Every beat, every second of it. Lauren unable to hide the pleasure the blood brought. This was life. This was everything that life should be. At least for them.
And finally he pulled away as the heart slowed, just a little but enough. He leaned in to Lauren, coaxing her away from the woman so she could...go back to her bar work or whatever she liked, he would be back for her later. Other plans and all that. But for now, this was enough. "Come on now, stop, pull away. You don't need to drain them there are countless more here who all want the same thing." he told her at a whisper in her ear. "Oh we can kill, its an option and it is our choice. But this one, no."
