Lauren listened to him with an admiring sort of attention, completely soaking up everything he was saying like a sponge. There was a certain pull he had that she just attributed to the fact that he was an Old One and really, you probably didn't make it long enough to gain title like that without some serious skill and charisma, right?
She glanced over at the other woman when he told her to, just for a moment, before her attention was focused back on him once again. "I do, don't I?" she said, a small smirk forming over her lips. She, lost little Lauren, had the power in this situation. And she was going to use it to her advantage.
She smiled, a genuine smile, at the touch. He was so bloody proper. She didn't say anything else, though, just turned on her heel and made her way to go talk to the woman.
Lauren was suprised by how easy it actually was, just a few well-placed touches, here a perfectly turned phrase there. And just like that, she had her. Just like Hal had said, eating out of the palm of her hand. She inched her finger at the woman for her to follow and after a moment's hesitation that was barely noticeable, she obliged, slipping out from behind the counter and following Lauren.
