Oh she was so very young. Still so unaware of her place in the world, it may have been due to an accident by someone who didn't know how to seperate, but it had happened and she was one of them now. And Hal refused to let the poor girl wallow in the delusion that she was a monster or an addict any longer. "I'm overselling nothing. These people, all they want is for the stories to be true. For what we are to be real. You could manifest and they would bow down and beg you to bite them. Or turn them but lets be honest, they're hardly worth it."
He watched her for a couple of moments before nodding. "I think perhaps you should take the first one. The fast food. But I'll help you. You're going to talk to her, we're here together, and you see and she knows that, and when you talk her into letting me feed there will be a little part of her that wonders if its both of us. Her opinion of you will change then. Look at her?"
The fast food was glaring daggers at Lauren. Sitting with Hal, drinking with him. He let his hand run along her shoulder as he spoke to her and yes, that was perfect. There had been a brief, seconds only, meeting of eyes before she'd looked away.
"Right now you're a threat. She's not sure what you're a threat to yet, but you already have the power over her, can't you see it?. Come on Lauren, don't tell me he's got you this disheartened. Mitchell was cruel to you, heartless some might say. He made you believe the very worst of what we're capable of."
Hal's hand ran along her cheek and down to her lip. All part of the game and all that.
"But here's the thing to know about us. We are superior. We are stronger and we truly can make the world dance to our tune whenever we wish it, do you understand me? Now go"
