The atmosphere of the club wasn't entirely up to Lauren's standards, but she knew why he'd chosen this one. She followed him up to the bar to wait for the drinks he'd ordered for them and glanced around at the whole lot of them. So clueless to what ran among them. It was sad really. And sadder still to think she'd been just as clueless once.
"Overselling it just a bit, aren't you?" She quirked an eyebrow at him. "I mean, me? A Goddess?" she couldn't help but chuckle at the thought. That level of confidence, well, she just hadn't reached it.
She laughed lightly at his fast food comment, taking a sip of the bourbon in her hand.
