It was new territory for him. He was still trying to get his feet wet, so it was a little difficult trying to remain on the positive. But that was who he was so sooner or later it would just click. The guy that Syd was with was still adjusting. Jack was the kind of guy who would make things work. Given the right amount of time and space he could do anything he put his mind to and that was exactly what he intended to do.
It would be easier with Syd there, hell he was laughing again and that alone was an improvement compare to the days before she arrived. Being thrown into the past had taken him for a loop but he wasn't the type to just give up and give in. "You're in luck, no mud run at the complex." He gave her a friendly clap on the shoulder and shook his head. "But if it makes you feel better, every now and then I'll have you do something just because I'm still red ranger." He mused smugly.
