Katherine & Hal
Another meeting, but it's not quite the same this time
Thursday late morning/early afternoonish, October 3, 2013; Room 4 at some shoddy motel
PG13-bordering-R?/In progress

What had she done now? Gone and made herself his own personal blood bank.

Katherine had been so stressed over the last week or so. This new...arrangement she had going with Hal and keeping it from everyone was certainly taking it's toll on her. Of course, Regina had noticed that something was wrong. She had no clue, not even a single inkling as to what it could be, just that something was off about her best friend. And how Katherine wanted to tell her, but instead, she'd simply insisted that everything was fine and tried to side-step any questions about it. Elijah, thankfully, hadn't exactly had time to see her lately with Kol being possessed and now having his emotions turned off. He was too busy to see her, focused too much on the family. Which might have annoyed her a bit at any other time, but not now. Now, it was to her advantage, really, because how could she hide the marks on her thigh? And what could she even use for an excuse?

But as much as she tried to let herself continue thinking this is what was best, that this was actually helping him keep the other, monstrous side of him at bay, she couldn't help thinking about what he'd told her before. He had told her how this would happen eventually. How he would beg and plead and reason with her. And he had insisted that no matter what, under no circumstance was she ever to cave and give him blood. And what had she done now? Gone and made herself his own personal blood bank. What was she even doing anymore? She wasn't sure.

Katherine sighed as she sank down onto the bed in the shoddy motel room Hal had insisted they come to. She wasn't sure why the change of scenery, hadn't the house been just fine? She didn't pretend to understand his reasoning, but she knew whatever it was, it was definitely there. That man did nothing without a specific reason.

"I built a tolerance to vervain as a vampire before, I could do it again. Then I don't have to worry about being compelled." That wasn't such an easy thing to do and she would starting over. She wasn't entirely sure that, were she to be turned again, that the newly-made vampire system could handle the ingesting like her five century self had. But he probably didn't know the real answer to that either, so she would hold her ground on that stance for now anyway.

Katherine nodded slowly. "That's what he told me before. It's a cycle, regardless of the blood, eventually you just come back around for awhile anyway." She shook her head, "You underestimate the people here. Their sheer optimism, their lack of pushing blame on people because of circumstance." But then it was her and she was already so hated by so many...he had a point really, and she knew it, but she wouldn't show it.

She tipped her head up slightly at that last little quip of his. "And just what is it you think I really am, Lord Harry?" the title came out of her mouth like poison.
