"I built a tolerance to vervain as a vampire before, I could do it again. Then I don't have to worry about being compelled." That wasn't such an easy thing to do and she would starting over. She wasn't entirely sure that, were she to be turned again, that the newly-made vampire system could handle the ingesting like her five century self had. But he probably didn't know the real answer to that either, so she would hold her ground on that stance for now anyway.
Katherine nodded slowly. "That's what he told me before. It's a cycle, regardless of the blood, eventually you just come back around for awhile anyway." She shook her head, "You underestimate the people here. Their sheer optimism, their lack of pushing blame on people because of circumstance." But then it was her and she was already so hated by so many...he had a point really, and she knew it, but she wouldn't show it.
