She kept her eyes on him as he stepped up to her. The way he was carrying himself, the way he was talking, it was different. This was not Hal, not really. And that smirk said it all.
"Pet?" she repeated, frowning at the term. And then he voiced the fears she'd had during all of this. She should have said something, anything. They wouldn't have held it against her if she had. But now? Now, it was too late, wasn't it? Because now they'd done this a few times and why hadn't she said anything before, what did she have to hide, she'd been the victim, they would have understood. But not now. Now, it was something she'd kept from them all, something she had felt the need to hide. That made it worse, didn't it?
She shuddered slightly at the feeling of his lips against her ear. She didn't say anything, though, instead she just stepped back until her legs found the bed and she sat down. If she had been scared before, she was terrified now.
