She looked up when he stepped out of the kitchen, shrugging slightly. "It's fine. Not like we'll be here long anyway." There was so very little of this situation that said this was anything more than an affair. Except that tiny twinge of fear that Katherine ignored the grips of every time they met. The fear was pointless, she told herself, this was Hal, her friend, and he wouldn't hurt her, additionally visible fear would only serve to entice the animal underneath. So despite it, she looked relaxed, like this was natural, and there was a small part of her that worried it would become normal. She could only keep up pretenses so long.
"So," she stood up and started walking around the room as she talked, too full of nervous energy. "How much are you going to need this time?" Katherine could have been wrong, but she was rather certain that he had taken more each time and she wasn't sure how she was supposed to feel about that. Or handle it if he took it too far, if she were being completely honest.
