As far as mottos went, it was a pretty good one, especially because the statement made her grin again, "You know, I don't think I'll ever get tired of hearing that kind of thing." Smug? Hell yes she was, it was in her blood, or, more precisely, in her brain lesions.
She nodded at the answer, "And that's good, because I really don't think I'd know certain doom if I saw it, I'd probably go closer just to check it out." A shrug, turning to head back the way she'd come, "I'm kind of brain-missing like that. At least that's what Tally would say, I call it being curious. Besides, it would take a whole lot of doom for me to worry about it."
It wasn't a long walk, really, only a few blocks, and Shay had already memorized it, just so that she could go back along it blind if she had to, she wasn't sure when the situation might come up, but it might!
