It was in no sense of the word fine. And Hal wondered if it ever would be again. He'd used her, possibly in the very worst way, and she had seen that other side of him. The side no one could forget existed but never quite talked about. It was not fine, he was blackmailing her and in truth they both knew it. The line was blurred now, and Lord Harry would follow in his time. Hal didn't want to die. Somehow, selfishly perhaps, he wanted to live.
