This place was way crazier than Mystic Falls had ever been - while she'd been around, at least. It had been weird to hear about her death after she got here and for the most part that wasn't even real for her. She knew it was real for Matt, though, so Vicki did really try to be good and not cause him issues. She'd known back home that he was starting to get fed up with cleaning up after her and she'd secretly hated making him do it, but hadn't been able to change. Here, though, things were different. She worked a few hours a week at Ginger's club as a waitress and she was actually, for the first time in her life, thinking of taking classes at the community college.
When Kol offered the chance for her to get out of the apartment for a few hours, Vicki had jumped at it. She took a quick shower after getting off the computer, then pulled on a pair of jeans and a low-cut blue shirt - nothing fancy, but not super trashy like some of her stuff had been at home. When the hour was up, she left her sleeping brother a note in case he woke up, grabbed her phone, keys, and some cash, then headed downstairs. This wasn't a date, of course - she was dating Jeremy - but it was good to have a friend, especially since anytime she thought about Mystic Falls, she remembered Damon killing all her friends at the graveyard. When she saw Kol, Vicki offered a smile and walked over.
