“Sorry,” Amy frowned and apologized in a low voice. She kept driving as quickly as she could, but laid off the horn. She didn’t know all of the gory details, but she had an idea of what Olivia had been through. Jerry was a monster that had terrorized her, too, after all. The woman’s nerves were probably frayed.
