He nodded. Everything she was saying was true. He shouldn't need to worry so much. She could take care of herself, and if she needed him she could always reach out to him. He had to give her space. Do what he should have done with Ginger, because he hadn't done that and he was pretty sure he'd lost her for good. He could do better this time. He had to at least try.
"Okay. Just...if you see her, let her know I was here. Let her know I'm around if she wants to talk. Or if she wants a distraction." Then he paused. "But not a Helena-type distraction. I don't want her girlfriend coming after me." God knew there were already enough people in this town who hated his guts. "I guess I'll leave you guys alone then."
