She didn't think that reading into things was a bad quality. On the contrary, paying attention and analyzing things is what had kept her alive for so many centuries. Or at least part of it, anyway. She actually felt a little better now that she wasn't alone. There was something comforting about being around others that she'd never really considered before Lawrence. She'd always been kind of a loner.
Anna wasn't terribly surprised he didn't have a destination in mind, either. She wondered if he was feeling shaken by Death's sudden appearance in their town, even if it was only around on the boards. Although, she was sure he probably was in town physically. And that was pretty damn scary to think about. As far as the war went, Anna really had no idea what it was she was supposed to do. She was used to feeling out of place, but Lawrence made her feel extra out of place, despite the fact she actually had made some friends, including him. Even if they weren't close friends.
"Me either, really." She looked down the road for a moment, then back at him. "Wanna head nowhere in particular with company?"
