Jack had to say he approved of the fact the Tardis had accepted him back in spite of all the wrongness. It had taken time and coaxing and generally he'd wondered if it was possible but in the end he'd gotten there, and it meant a hell of a lot to him, meant a lot that Becker had accepted the whole thing too, it was a lot to take in, he knew that too. Getting used to his life, it couldn't have been easy.
But then he said it, those words, and Jack blinked a number of times before responding, and words, he needed to form words.
Why, was probably not a good first response.
"You don't say that a lot do you...that word." Jack didn't either, not really, people tended to assume given his history given the number of weddings and all, but it wasn't the same, he'd loved those people, every one of them, but it was rare someone told him so first.
And he'd want to hear it back. Jack cared for him, a lot, he'd grown to feel deeply for the man over the past few months. Becker had been there for him, been with him through a lot, and yet love? Jack leaned in to kiss him, focusing on just how he felt about the man and finally nodded, knowing he'd probably waited way too long.
"You too, I mean, I do. I love you, even if I have no idea why you love me because, seriously?"
