Tim agreed that it was kind of harsh but at the same time he wasn't angry about it anymore. He was at first because he thought if Bruce really had wanted too he could have helped him get that spot on the basketball team. But he'd learned to like tennis. He got to meet kids his age. Even made some friends. But he had to lie to them all the time when he couldn't hang out because it was almost dark. "Im not Clark." he corrected as he let the ball trail off for a minute.
"Im Robin." There was a faint amusement to his voice but he was serious and it reflected in his crystal blue eyes."I chose to be this. Nobody picked me. ". Tim explained. It was hard to describe Gotham to someone who'd never been. So he'd tell Clark his story instead as he chased the ball down again picking it up as it threatened to roll away. "Its no cake walk and I did almost quit. Twice. But i'll never quit again." It wasn't just Robin for him or Gotham City anymore anyways. It was in his dads memory. "Im good at this, at helping people and making a difference. Thats what this is all about, Clark. Justice. " It was hard to explain his actions as a vigilante to anyone who didn't do it themselves. They were often seen in a hard light but Tim was trying to put a spin on that. They weren't criminals and the life he chose was nobody elses decision. It wasnt a bad life either, it was hard with the secrets and hiding but it was his. "I can't remember the last time I was just a kid. It might have been at the circus. The night I saw the Flying Graysons perform." that had been the best and worst thing to ever happen. "The trapeize snapped in the middle of their act." Tim winced at the memory as he got in position with the basketball he retrieved.
"Another prison?" Tim raised an eyebrow as he started dribbling to taunt Clark into trying to take it from him. It really was a good idea. Taking Tim to the court, he was enjoying. Even starting to open up a little. He was rarely this chatty and didn't talk about himself or his views. "I don't know if they can or if they just won't. I try not to question it to much." or he'd have second thoughts. There was no room for them and Robin.
