"Thank you," she smiled at the compliment. She didn't expect him to be anything less than completely smooth, though. She'd seen that part of him in their time together already. The tiny ramble about flowers made her smile. "It's okay," she assured him, "your lack of flowers is acceptable."
She looped her arm with his as they began walking. There was a certain level of paranoia resting in the back of her mind. The dangers here always made her wary, but she pushed it aside because she knew what she needed to defend herself in the need came up and she shouldn't be expecting bad things anyway.
