All it did was confuse everything. Well he couldn't argue even a second of that statement. But she wanted to do it again. Of course she did, she'd come close more than once in the last few minutes. But she wasn't running for the hills or screaming at him, she was mature enough to understand that they had both been a party to what had happened just now.
And mature enough to understand she hadn't hated it.
"How can you decide it felt wonderful and then hide from it. Its because of him, obviously, because of Tyler but really were you finding it so hard to fake being without him. Watching him with Hayley I mean, it had to hurt how easily they fell into the lie. He's not worthy of you. And you can say what you like about it but you know that its true. He has never treated you as you deserve to be treated, he's allowed you to be used to get to me, hell he's asked you to be."
He wasn't asking her to say she loved him, he wasn't even asking for a relationship. He just wanted the truth from her.
"Be honest, you know on some level that I'm right. That first love he may be but its started to fade, hasn't it. And you don't love me, you haven't given yourself the chance yet to see if you could. But you feel something for me, you have now for a while, and when I touch you, when I kissed you, everything you were screamed for more. Admit that love, and we're getting somewhere."
