Who: Irina Derevko and Sydney Bristow
Where: Irina's Apartment at the Complex
When: Sometime after this
Warnings: TBD
Summary: Mother and daughter reunion
Status: Ongoing
After the misunderstanding she'd had with Spike and he had escorted her to the complex, Irina had done what she did best. Observe. See what the others trapped here were like and if she could uncover anything that proved his claims false. Prove that this was just some hidden endgame of Elena’s that hadn’t been accounted for. For the sake of humoring him she had taken the welcome package from the complex lobby. Had even worn the amulet the one time she’d gone out to take in her surroundings. But none of that meant she believed him full heartedly. And under no circumstance was she planning on settling. Irina Derevko never settled in one place for too long. It made was too risky with her position on the CIA’s Most Wanted list. So she would move from home to home quite often. For as long as she was stuck in whatever the hell this was that wouldn’t change. After two days she’d concluded that there was some validity to what Spike had told her. All the evidence she had uncovered pointed to the fact that this wasn’t a hallucination and no endgame of Elena’s, as it was far too elaborate. During her observations she had noted how dependent those who posted on the network were to certain substances. Much like a few others had pointed out about those who claimed to be suffering. While she herself wasn’t attached to any of the missing products she did enjoy them from time to time. And having gone without some of those comforts for all those weeks she’d been held captive, well, Irina sympathised with them. But only to the smallest extent. In all of her observations and going back through the board she had missed something that would bring her some level of joy. Sydney was here and it had taken her breaking down and reaching out to find out. For a trained observer she had glanced right over something so important. Spike’s words and what she had looked over coming straight to the forefront of her mind. Her daughter was here but when was she? The last words she had spoken to her still clear in her mind. It had been the one thought that had kept her from asking about Nadia. Sydney hadn’t brought her up in their brief conversation but it was possible that her daughter was just waiting until they met face to face. But there was also the possibility that her eldest daughter was completely unaware of the half sister she had. If Irina was being truthfully honest trying to make sense of everything brought on a throbbing headache. Hearing a knock on her door, pulled her out of her thoughts, and forced her to rise. Cautiously she approached the door. The rifle not far if she needed to use it to defend herself beyond her hand-to-hand combat skills. Slowly she pulled the door open and took in her daughter’s appearance. “Hello Sweetheart.” |
