It was sort of like old times. Honestly, out of all of their super-powered and supernatural friends, Caroline was the one who still felt the most like...well, Caroline. He didn't tend to think about the fact that she was a vampire unless she or one of the others mentioned it. She was just Caroline. His friend. One of his best friends.
"Fair enough," he agreed, reaching out and stealing a couple Cheeze-It's and popping them into his mouth. He'd never been a big Pepsi drinker, except when when it came to pizza. That was the only thing that tasted decent with pizza. Except beer.
He arched his eyebrows, listening to her ramble until she finally spouted off the the thing that was bothering her. Or at least one of them. He drew in a breath and shifted on the couch, propping his feet up on the coffee table. "I'm okay. Still looking for a job. Red Lobster didn't work out. I don't know about bar tending, though. Still technically under age." Though he supposed the possible tips would be worth it. "And...yeah. I am too."
