She was in a graveyard, wandering. There were no footsteps behind her, just silence and the suffocating sensation of loneliness. Of being lost. Some graves were weathered, some fresh. The deeper in she got, the more she felt suffocated. Yet it was as if she couldn't turn around, couldn't escape. The names were ones that were familiar, morphing into those she considered her friends and loved ones. All from Mystic Falls. But then... then it wasn't just them. Elphaba, Anatoly, Rose... Anakin.
Waking suddenly because Elena in her dream hadn't wanted to deal with what that meant, the brunette gasped in pain, her shoulder suddenly hurting more. But this wasn't her room. This was Anakin's room and Anakin was...... not there. It took a few moments as the last remnants of her unexpected nap wore off to remember that he had once again been sent back to his own world. To death. The reason it had hurt so much before, the reason is stung deep now. Death, that which Elena could never escape. And she couldn't even bake or get drunk to numb the pain if only for a little while.
Not wanting to be haunted by ghosts, not now, Elena left Anakin's room and headed down to her own, making sure the mask of holding it together was in place. It was expected of her. And those who had been around during Maleficent undoubtedly watched her closer, waiting for the next time she got so overwhelmed that she decided to kill herself. But she wouldn't. Even if she threw herself into dangerous situations because she didn't care one way or the other, she wasn't going to kill herself. It wasn't a goal or plan. She just knew how she was seen.. and she had never gotten the chance to ask Anakin if that was all she'd been to him as well. Because like usual, Elena had ignored what she hadn't wanted to acknowledge in an attempt to have at least one normal relationship.
The plan had been to go out and dance. She hadn't said anything to anyone on the matter. Hadn't posted or even looked at the boards since finding out he was gone. Who would really notice? The Force Users would have sensed it and while last time they had said they would check in on her.... she didn't have the energy to once again tell them Anakin was dead. And the house? Well, they probably had a feeling on the matter. But she didn't want to think, to feel and dancing by herself would have worked had she not heard a knock at the door.
Well, it was night, maybe it was Vicki for Jeremy? One of the magic users for Elphie.... a friend of Jenna's. Or it could be Matt. Matt who had the amazing ability to show up just when she needed someone even if she was refusing to acknowledge it. Unless Jeremy, Jenna or Elphie had said something.
"Random Matt is random. Come in."
Smiling some, Elena stepped aside so Matt could walk in. DVDs, pizza and fake soda. He came prepared.
