This all screamed stupid, moronic and brain-dead. Katherine Pierce caused nothing but grief wherever she went. Elijah had been doing well in the weeks since her departure. He had gotten over her being gone and had moved on. He was teaching his classes, spending time with his siblings, and even though things between he and Niklaus were rocky, he was there to support his younger brother because that's what families did. And then...poof. She appears again. Human, weak, and needing him for support.
She had done awful things and killed innocent people...and yet...hadn't Elijah done the same thing? Hadn't he nearly killed Elena to stop Esther's plans? He could hardly claim innocence. His mother's sneer that even he was a monster despite his claim of being a noble man. No. he was just as bad, if not worse than her. He knew an innocent girl was going to be sacrificed--and even though he loved her, he had kept his mouth shut.
Walking inside the dinner, he laid eyes eyes on her and a small smile ghosted across his lips as he walked up to her, sliding into the booth across from her.
