"Believe me, if I was making something up, I wouldn't make it sound so bloody insane." he assured her, although he knew she probably didn't take his word for much of anything. And why would she, really? She didn't know him, didn't know he was actually a pretty trustworthy sort. "Smart, though, not believing the first thing you hear. Unfortunately, here, it could actually be pretty dangerous to keep up the not believing." He wasn't trying to goad her, really, just stating what he knew as fact, even if she couldn't believe him.
He watched her for a moment, curioius as to what she might say when he suggested he prove it to her. He could, afterall, quite easily. Especially if she wasn't used to the supernatural side of things in her world. "Given your overall reaction, I'm guessing demons and the like, they're not really a thing in your world, right?" He didn't wait for an answer before continuing, though. "Well, in mine, and here as well, they are. And me? I'm a vampire." And never in his unlife had he felt more ridiculous admitting that fact than he did in that moment and he wasn't even sure why. However, he didn't bother letting her try to mock that out of the possiblities. "Just...don't shoot me, all right?" he said before he let his face shift, brow ridges suddenly more pronounced, eyes flashing yellow, fangs extending.
