It was almost disturbing how he was sort of sounding like her. That probably would have been her general reaction. No, they weren't in English. And sometimes she had a hard enough time understand all the rules for english too. Buffy wasn't stupid, but she never had time to concentrate on things like that. She didn't really want to either. Her life just wasn't typical.
Rolling her eyes slightly, she concentrated on the demon, who was probably going to smoke out if Dean actually did have the the book. Until then she was just going to have to deal with a demon who probably wanted to take one, or both of them down.
God dammit.
"Hurry up!" she yelled, though she doubted Dean could hear her. Apparently, he did have the words, and the demon knew it. Because when Dean returned Buffy was still engaged in a fight, still had the upper hand. This wasn't the longest fight of her life. The demon had a split lip, she had a small scratch on her face that would probably be gone tomorrow.
When Dean came back, the demon seemed to realize he wasn't winning this fight. Though Buffy had the thing in a headlock, its mouth opened and black smoke shot out of the body, leaving the person limp. That was annoying, but all the same her hand shot towards the mans chest as she caught him, feeling for a heart beat.
