Caroline crossed her arms, rolling her eyes at his comments. “No. I don’t think you’ll get bored. I was asking a question. That’s the whole point of--of--whatever this is.” She motioned between the two of them, because like hell she was going to give word or meaning to what was happening. Nope. Denial was a wonderful land to live in and she meant to cling tightly to it for as long as she could. “And I think it’d be insane to just run off to go see the world when I only just got here. Plus I’ve got this job and volunteering. I’m coordinating the whole talent show. Not to mention there’s figuring out how I’m even going to pay to get into college.”
She had a hard time seeing where ‘trip to Paris’ could be fit into all of her immediate plans. “I’ll go back to the whole tour of the world venture when I feel like I have control of the here and now.” Because if there was one thing she hated, it was feeling out of control. “Also we’re walking again because I’m done sitting.”
And with that she was already starting down the path, whirling around when she realized she hadn’t asked a question. “But your plans seem to be good. Reasonable even. So keep those up. Except what camp?” There was a camp? Seriously, people needed to do a better job at filling new people in on things.
